Gotta catch 'em all

I'd wanted to do Pokemon nails for forever but my white nail polish would never dry, so I bought a new one for this.  I was originally going to paint all legendaries, but I just don't have the color arsenal for that, so I decided to do all blue+white Pokemon instead.  I was kind of disappointed that people couldn't tell exactly which they were, but oh well.  The worst part was that a couple days after I first painted the design, I spilled polish all over my hands and nails, so I had to erase them T^T  The best part though was that the six-year-old Pokemon fanatic that I tutor loved them... for the two days I had them anyway.  I plan on doing more Pokemon nails in the future, most likely some of the more recognizable ones.

Again, this was taken before I discovered the lovely macro setting, so it's not really clear >3<

Bubble Shine

For this design, I actually painted the underside of my nails' free edge to get a lighter blue shade, which I thought looked really cool since it made it more of a gradient look.  Plus, I didn't have to worry about the blue getting chipped off as quickly.  Loved this design because both hands took like 5 min but sparkled like whoa.

Sorry the pictures are so blurry; I painted these before I was introduced to the macro setting on the camera xP

Ribbons and Lace

My last nail art design was pretty bland, so I tried to do one that was a little more complex this time around.

The darker pink layer is Milani's Cappuccino.  It's hard to see in the photos, but it has a subtle gold shimmer, which was what made me want to buy it in the first place.
What looks like lighter a lighter pink is actually a thin coating of Jade's Elegant Mode silvery color.
For black, I used China Glaze's Liquid Leather.
Gold is Jade's Gold Flakes.
White is Sally Hansen's White On.
I don't always use top coat, but I wanted this design to stay on for a while, so I enlisted the help of Rimmel's Faster 60 seconds top coat.  The very first time I used this, it smeared a pretty difficult design that had been dried on my nails for an entire day, but since then, it's behaved.
