Disneyland

My mandatory field trip for my Disneyland and Urbanism class was, of course to Anaheim's DL <3 So I thought I'd do my nails for the occasion.  It was sort of a weird trip though: I discovered a ton of rides I never knew existed, I saw the rainy-day version of the parade, there were already Christmas deco up that I don't remember ever seeing before, and I found that I can now analyze just about everything about Disneyland from its layout legibility to its trashcans... My childhood will never be the same >__>

Jungle Cruise:  Our tour guide narrator dude was SO funny, this officially became my favorite ride <3
L to R:  Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Mickey Mouse, Goofy
Thumb:  Pluto (I swear he looked better before, but I kind of smudged him after applying top coat...)

I thought about adding some glitter to add a little Disney magic, but I like how bold the colors turned out without it.

Sun, Set, and Glow

Ack, it's been a while since I posted, but honestly between God, college, and life, there just isn't that much time xD This was my nail art from the beginning of the month after getting back from Catalina Island, but I never got around to posting it.  Better late than never though, right?  Inspired by the fact that we got up flippin' early and hiked up this super long trail in the biting cold only to find that we missed the sunrise we went up to see.

French French Nails

This was actually a request from my pastor's daughter who checks my nails every week & asks for France-themed nails.  I didn't want to do it since I've already done it before (before I started taking pictures), but since I'm going off to college & don't plan on seeing her very often, I decided why not?  The first design I did was better and the flag was actually correct, but it wasn't really worth redoing it.

"je t'aime" (French for 'i love you') hearts, Eiffel tower with national flag (if you, you know, switch the blue and red >_<;; I was too lazy to actually look it up and now I kind of regret it...), heart, two hearts
"Love" and two hearts

Knott's Berry Farm

Decided to do Knott's-themed nails for the sixth-grade outing I was chaperoning.  Obviously, it's unfinished, but after doing like five other people's nails and drawing stuff on the kids' T-shirts for ten hours, this was seriously the best I could do xP

L to R:  Woodstock, Snoopy, Charlie Brown's shirt

Yellow:  The "It" Color by OPI
White:  White On by Sally Hansen
Top coat:  Matte About You by Essie
Black:  Some acrylic paint one of the kids brought over b/c my black nail polish was drying out after painting so many nails XP

San Francisco

4/26 to 4/30, our speech and debate team went to SF for our state championship tournament.  Our debate... didn't do too hot, but nevertheless, much fun was had :D
Architecture in the city is amazingly creative and detailed.  I mostly only saw them while passing them by  car, so I couldn't get any good shots...

Here I am on Ocean Avenue :D
At Fisherman's Wharf... somehow, this is the only picture I took there...
Took an unexpected detour here on the way to the tournament and within two hours, my wallet threw up $50 xD but $20 was in the form of gift cards, so it's like I only spent $30... right?  But there was this adorable asymmetrical high low skirt with some tulip-style layering action going on at Yesstyle for $22 that I reeeeeeeally regret not buying >3<
So here's the nail art inspired by this trip:

My & my partner's nails; I had to modify the design on hers a little since my nails are like, 2x as long as hers....
L to R:  Cityscape, Golden Gate Bridge, "SAN FRANCISCO debate", ocean scene
Thumb:  "OA <3 KK 2012" (Oxford Academy Andi Kim-Erin Kim Team in 2012 <3)
Blue:  Marino by Borghese (only one thin layer for the lighter blue for the cityscape)
Silver:  Elegant Mode by Jade
White:  White On by Sally Hansen
Black:  Liquid Leather by China Glaze
Red:  Blood by Santee (or maybe Diamonds & Rubies by Sally Hansen; I forgot xD)
